This workshop is designed for nurses who have started, or are considering, a formal leadership position in a nephrology setting. The course explores the typical role responsibilities of a nurse manager and provide tips to navigate the transition and associated stressors experienced by both you and your staff during the transition period. Another focus is conflict management and how to develop confidence and credibility in these management skills. Learning how to "lead by listening" and other intangible leadership skills are also addressed. Case studies are used to illustrate ways to become a positive and motivating leader.
