This workshop will address the prevalence of obesity in the CKD population and its impact on overall health, therapeutic management, transplant candidacy, and post-transplant outcomes. Evidence-based approaches for preventing and managing obesity in individuals with CKD, the use of weight loss medications, patient outcomes, and dietary implications of weight loss surgery will be discussed.
