In today's nephrology nursing world, much time is spent meeting the demands and criteria of regulatory agencies. This session will focus on two of those agencies: the Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). First, the session will focus on Joint Commission guidelines and how to prepare a plan for your individual program to meet these guidelines. Time also will be allotted to discuss how to utilize your organizational skills to maintain a state of readiness over a long period of time. Next, a CMS representative will address recent updates and how they affect your practice. As both the Joint Commission and CMS are continually updating their guidelines and the requirements for our practices, you won't want to miss this highly informative session!
