As a result of the 2022 jury verdict and subsequent sentencing of a 3-year probation period for Nurse RaDonda Vaught, healthcare professionals have entered into a new era of practice where in addition to medical malpractice liability, criminal charges with possible incarceration may become a reality. This session offers the nephrology nurse insight into how to proactively protect one's practice and license from potential criminal liability.
