Goal: To describe the current practices in caring for end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients with iron deficiency anemia.

Objectives:
  1. Discuss the etiology of iron deficiency and how iron deficiency impacts anemia during ESRD.
  2. Discuss the recent data regarding ESRD patients treated with newer intravenous (IV) iron therapies.
  3. Identify safe and effective treatment options for improving ESRD patient outcomes.
