These research modules were developed by the 2020-2021 ANNA Research Committee, a 5-part series providing in-depth detail for ANNA members to use as a resource in developing research grants. Module 1 describes methods for identifying research questions, aims, and hypotheses. Module 2 provides knowledge and skills for the design and implementation of qualitative health research and the management and analysis of qualitative data. Modules 3 provides knowledge and skills for critical decision making in the design and implementation of quantitative health care research. Module 4 provides knowledge and skills to integrate the best available evidence to guide nephrology nurses in informing are practices and improving patient outcomes. Finally, module 5 provides an overview of ANNA guidelines for submitting clinical practice, research, and evidence-based practice grants.
