Malnutrition in patients with CKD is not uncommon, and there is growing understanding of the connection among inflammation, malnutrition, and cardiovascular health in CKD. Inflammation leads to protein energy wasting and is the basis for CKD and cardiovascular issues. Strategies to address these complexities are the focus of this session.
