Establishing an effective disaster preparedness plan – and training staff to implement the plan – is vital in health care facilities today, particularly for dialysis providers. Whether it is a natural disaster such as fire, flood, or hurricane, or an emergency such as an active shooter, facilities and staff must be ready to care for patients when the unexpected happens.
