Sessions that will be presented were captured at ANNA's 2022 Nephrology Nursing Practice, Management, & Leadership Conference.  While sessions will be rebroadcasted, we'll have three speakers on live to answer your questions at the end of each session!

This virtual event offers 3.75 contact hours.

Sessions will cover the mental well-being of nephrology nurses from a health policy and advocacy perspective, and provide some Health Policy updates from ANNA’s representative to Kidney Care Partners and Health Policy Consultant.

In the first two sessions, leaders and health policy experts from several national nursing and health professional organizations discuss the current legislative, regulatory, and policy initiatives aimed at addressing the issues affecting nurse well-being. The sessions explore many of the issues currently straining the well-being of the nephrology nursing profession, including staffing, burnout, work environment, and COVID-19. In addition, presenters focus on what nephrology nurses can do to advocate for policies to improve their well-being in the workplace.

In the final session, health policy experts review key legislative, regulatory, and health policy issues affecting nephrology nursing, including value-based models. Policies that have the potential to influence nursing practice, education, and the delivery of care to patients with kidney disease are also discussed.
