Welcome to Spanish Medical Terminology for Healthcare Professionals

This is a self-paced fully online course consisting of 23 modules. In each module, you are given the opportunity to learn phrases that may help you communicate with your Spanish speaking patients.

Objectives

This course should enable you to:

  1. Identify basic Spanish terms such as numbers and letters.
  2. Communicate with Spanish speaking patient or family member while visiting the medical office.
  3. Express appropriate medical terminology in Spanish while in the examination room.

Lessons

There are a total of 23 modules or lessons. Each lesson will be visible only after you have completed the previous lesson with a score of 80% or higher on the assessment. In each lesson, there are approximately 15 to 20 questions per assessment. The assessments build on each other; you should expect to be asked questions from lessons that you have already completed.

You may go back and review previous lessons. The assessment will register your highest score no matter how many times you complete it.
