Goal: To provide an overview of the economic, cost, and patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction when using heparin BP versus heparin USP.

Objectives:

  1. Explain the differences between heparin BP and heparin USP.
  2. Discuss the patient and economic outcomes for using one type of heparin over another during hemodialysis as discovered by this study.
