Goal
To describe a project that added high-fidelity continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) simulation to an existing education program that enhanced knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSAs) of adult intensive care unit nurses who perform CRRT.
Objectives
1. Describe the use of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) to treat patients with AKI.
2. Discuss the use of simulation as a technique to increase a nurse’s KSAs.
3. Describe the use of high-fidelity simulation as a teaching strategy to increase KSAs in nurses working in adult intensive care unit caring for patients receiving CRRT.
