Goal: To review strategies for removing fluid during hemodialysis, hemodynamics of fluid
re moval, and interventions associated with the strategies for fluid removal.
Objectives:
- Review current data and research studies that show a correlation between fluid volume and rates of morbidity and mortality.
- Determine two issues related to fluid volume status in hemodialysis patients.
- Discuss strategies for fluid removal during the hemodialysis procedure.
