Description

Goal:To provide an overview of research that analyzes the qualitative aspects of the lived experiences (physical, psychological, and relationship) of patients on hemodialysis and the implications of those experiences for nursing practice.

Objectives:

  1. Develop insight into the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual changes that occur in patients beginning hemodialysis therapy.
  2. Discuss the emerging themes of the lived experiences of individuals on hemodialysis.
  3. Determine the implications of this meta-analysis for nephrology nursing practice.
